Foo Fighters have announced North American dates for their upcoming Sonic Highways Tour. Starting July 6, the band will play 27 dates through the first week in October. The venues range from ballparks to arenas to amphitheaters. The online presale for Foo Fighters tickets will begin on December 1 with public on sales commencing December 4 and 5. The tour will officially start July 6, two days after the 20th Anniversary Blowout at RFK Stadium the band had previously announced for July 4. The all-day event has a star-studded lineup including Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Heart and Joan Jett, among others. Three baseball stadiums will be played on the tour. On July 16, the band will play at Citi Field, followed by two shows at Fenway Park on July 18 and 19. The third baseball stadium is Wrigley Field, for a previously announced show on August 29.
This will be the band’s first tour since the 2011 Wasting Light Tour in support of the band’s last album. With the exception of the Fenway Park shows, tickets for Foo’s 2015 dates go on sale Saturday via the Beat the Bots pre-sale, which will only be sold at the venue box offices. Online pre-sales begin Dec. 1 and general sales start Dec. 4 and 5.
