Pearl Jam will head out on a 24-date North American tour this fall that begins in October and runs through early December, the band announced today (July 8) as the culmination of the mysterious PearlJam.com countdown clock that’s been running for the past week. The trek consists of two legs and a total of 24 dates, with the veteran rockers taking a two-week break following their previously announced headline appearance at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience.. The first set of dates includes stops in Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Baltimore with the second leg hitting the West Coast cities of Seattle, Oakland, Vancouver and Los Angeles.
Pearl Jam has two dates scheduled this summer: July 16 at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario, and July 19 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field (both dates are completely sold out. Pearl Jam’s last album, 2009′s ‘Backspacer,’ debuted at No. 1, the band’s first chart-topping LP since 1996′s ‘No Code.’ It marked a comeback of sorts for the group, which released the record on its own label, Monkeywrench. Additional dates may be announced.
