Jay Z extends the Magna Carter World Tour to North America, following his international run, stretching from Nov. 30 to Jan. 31. The announcement comes the same morning his Watch the Throne collaborator, Kanye West, announces the ‘Yeezus’ tour. Stops include Detroit, Denver, Los Angeles, Boston, Fresno, two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and other cities having sports palaces large enough to host the top-tier artist. Tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday, September 12th at 10AM EST. Fans can expect worldwide dates, though only North American stops have been announced so far.
The tour comes on the heels of Jay Z’s second annual Budweiser Made In America festival and his co-headlining Legends of the Summer tour with Justin Timberlake. The tour’s namesake album, Jay Z’s “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” debuted at No. 1 after it dropped July 4.
