Keane’s next trip to the U.S. is a month-long excursion that begins in January. The English alternative rock band says the tour will include both familiar haunts as well as some new places. The trio is touring in support of its fourth full-length effort, Strangeland. The album was released in May as the follow-up to 2008’s Perfect Symmetry.
Keane first achieved a great deal of notoriety in 2004 with their debut album, Hopes and Fears. The success continued with the sophomore release, Under the Iron Sea. Since first breaking onto the scene Keane was developed quite the following from all around the world. The U.S. tour kicks off Jan. 8 in Portland, OR on January 8th. Support for the tour will come from Youngblood Hawke (NB: Atlanta and Minneapolis supports to be confirmed). Additional dates include stops at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
